Tying instructions

  1. Secure the hook in the vise.

  2. Start the thread behind the eye and wrap back to the bend.

  3. Trim the tag end of the thread.

  4. Wrap the thread back into the curve of the hook.

  5. Wrap the thread up and down the hook four times to build a thread body.

  6. Wrap the thread back forward to the eye.

  7. Take a precut foam body and place it so that the first notch of the foam body is right at the eye of the hook.

  8. Walk the thread in with a couple of nice tight wraps.

  9. Wrap back on the thread body and cut out the tag end that's on there.

  10. Trap that tag down and work your way back forward with nice tight touching wraps, flattening that foam down.

  11. Fold the foam back and see where the second bump of that foam is.

  12. Put your thread there so you can lock everything in place and have a nice bullet head.

  13. Pull the legs back and put a couple more wraps in the middle to help walk them into place a little bit better.

  14. Grab your whip finish tool to finish off this fly.

  15. Make sure you get your thread right in between the legs.

  16. Trim out your tying thread.

  17. Put a dab of UV resin right in between the legs on top of that thread wrap to give it just a little bit of extra durability.

  18. Cure that resin in.
