Tying instructions
Secure hook in vise with shank level
Attach thread one eye length behind eye, wrap to bend and back to create thread base
Cut piece of red yarn, secure 3-4 eye lengths behind eye
Tie yarn along top of hook shank to bend, keeping it on top
Trim red yarn at bend to make tail - length should equal hook gap width
Tie in silver mylar tinsel with gold side facing you
Wrap tinsel to bend with touching wraps, going over top clockwise
Wrap tinsel back toward eye, ending 3 eye lengths behind eye
Tie off tinsel and cut
Select sparse white bucktail (about 1/2 thickness of bodkin)
Stack tips in hair stacker, measure so tips extend to tip of tail
Secure white bucktail one eye length behind eye using pinch method
Trim butts at angle matching down eye slant
Repeat for black bucktail, tying on top of white - this is lateral line
Repeat for brown bucktail on top
Build black thread head with wedge shape
Whipfinish and apply head cement or UV resin
