Tying instructions

  1. Secure the AHREX FW555 CZ Mini Jig Barbless hook in the vise.

  2. Slide a 3/16" (4.6mm) Fly Shack Tungsten Nymph Bead onto the hook.

  3. Attach a pin or nail to the hook shank, extending from the eye to create a balanced effect.

  4. Start the UTC Ultra Thread 140 Denier Olive behind the bead and secure the pin with tight wraps.

  5. Apply Loon Low Tack Swax to the thread for better dubbing adherence.

  6. Create a dubbing noodle with Arizona Simi Seal Bronze Peacock.

  7. Wrap the dubbing noodle forward along the hook shank to form the body, covering the pin.

  8. Ensure the dubbing is evenly distributed and forms a tapered leech body.

  9. Tie off the dubbing at the bead with 3 tight wraps.

  10. Build a small thread head behind the bead.

  11. Whip finish and trim the thread.

  12. Apply Solarez Bone Dry head cement to the thread wraps and cure with UV light.
