Tying instructions
Slide bead onto hook and secure hook in vise.
Start thread behind the bead and wrap back to the bend.
Wrap 5-6 wraps of lead wire onto the hook shank to create a tapered body.
Cover the lead wire with 210 denier thread to create a smooth taper.
Tie in pearl tinsel and 6x tippet at the bend.
Select 6-7 pheasant tail fibers and tie in at the bend for the tail, extending one shank-length.
Wrap thread forward to the bead.
Counter-wrap the pearl tinsel forward to create the ribbing, tie off, and trim.
Select a CDC feather, clip the tip, and tie in behind the bead.
Wrap the CDC feather 1-2 times to create a collar.
Pull the CDC fibers back and secure with thread.
Whip finish with 8/0 thread (3 wraps, then 4-5 wraps).
Move the thread forward to lock the whip finish.
Trim thread.
