Tying instructions

  1. Secure the hook in the vise. Start thread behind the eye and wrap to the bend.

  2. Split two Microfibett tailing fibers and tie them in at the bend, splayed apart at about 45 degrees.

  3. Tie in a turkey or goose biot at the bend by the narrow end.

  4. Wrap the biot forward to the midpoint, showing the raised edge for segmentation. Tie off and trim.

  5. Select two CDC feathers. Tie one on each side of the hook at the midpoint, extending outward as spent wings (flat, 90 degrees to the body).

  6. Secure the CDC wings with thread wraps. Trim the butts.

  7. Dub a thin thorax of Superfine dubbing from behind the wings to behind the eye, figure-eighting around the wing bases.

  8. Build a small thread head. Whip finish and apply a tiny drop of head cement to the thread only.
