Tying instructions
Secure the rear hook in the vise.
Lay down a thread base approximately 1cm from the hook eye.
Tie in a clump of color 1 bucktail on top of the hook shank, with the tips extending beyond the hook bend approximately 10cm.
Make 3 loose thread wraps to secure the bucktail, then spread the fibers by pushing thumb around the hook shank.
Apply tension and wrap the thread back to the tie-in point.
Secure the bucktail with tight thread wraps and trim excess material.
Tie in 6-8 strands of holographic green flash on the top of the hook shank, extending beyond the bucktail.
Fold the flash back and secure with thread wraps, spreading the flash around the sides and bottom of the hook shank.
Tie in two saddle hackle feathers on top of the hook shank, with the tips extending beyond the bucktail.
Trim the excess saddle hackle stems.
Apply Glue/Resin of choice to the thread wraps and cure.
Tie in Bucktail clump hollow style, reversing and building thread dam in front of reversal point to control flair.
Add Synthetic veil layer, usually bullet tying in. (Optional)
Tie in 6-8 strands of holographic green flash on the top of the hook shank, extending beyond the bucktail.
Repeat last 3 steps until you have reached front of hook, usually 2-3 times depending on hook size. Add Super Glue at each finished stage.
Secure the front hook in the vise and lay down a thread base approximately 1cm from the hook eye.
Attach rear hook to articulating wire. Slide two beads onto the wire.
Attach the wire to the front hook shank, securing it with tight thread wraps. Reverse wire so it is physically held in.
Wrap the thread up the shank to the wire, then back to the tie-in point.
Trim the excess wire. Add Super Glue / UV Resin and let dry.
Attach a rattle to the top of the hook shank, and secure with tight thread wraps and Glue/Resin.
Mix a clump of your two colors of bucktail.
Tie in a clump of Mixed bucktail on top of the hook shank, covering connection point and rattle.
Add Synthetic veil layer, usually bullet tying in. (Optional)
