Tying instructions
Slide the bead onto the hook.
Wrap lead wire around the hook shank, covering about half the shank.
Push the lead wire up into the bead.
Break off the excess lead wire.
Start the thread behind the lead wire and create a ramp to force the lead back towards the bead.
Wrap the thread up onto the lead wire to coat it and lock it in place.
Move the fly in the vise to change the angle.
Tie in two peacock herl fibers for the tail.
Wrap the thread up to where the lead terminates.
Tie in 6x tippet for the first rib.
Tie in olive crystal flash for the second rib.
Dub the body with Hare-Tron Dubbin Olive.
Wrap the dubbing noodle to cover the hook, tapering slightly as you move up.
Counter-wrap the olive crystal flash to lock the dubbing in place.
Pull the scud back over the back of the fly and tie it in with the thread.
Whip finish behind the bead.
Trim the excess scud back.
