Tying instructions

  1. Secure the front streamer hook in the vise, start the thread behind the eye and lay a smooth base on the hook shank.

  2. Glue a slim lead-wire keel weight onto the hook shank, cover it with thread wraps and set the hook aside so the glue can begin to set.

  3. Build or connect the tail shank, then tie in a sparse marabou tail.

  4. Add a small amount of flash if desired, keeping the tail slim.

  5. Tie in Finesse Body Chenille or a finesse brush at the rear of the section.

  6. Wrap forward with open, controlled turns so the section stays narrow and translucent.

  7. Repeat on each shank, increasing body diameter only slightly as you move forward toward the hook.

  8. Return to the weighted hook after the glue has set, then use a support brush sparingly if the head needs more shoulder.

  9. Trim lightly to keep the baitfish profile slim, then add Living Eyes and resin.

  10. Check that all joints move freely and that the fly has a sparse finesse profile.
