Tying instructions

  1. Add bead. Then create thread base along length of hook shank.

  2. Tie in 6-12 strands of flash at bend in hook. Leave untrimmed.

  3. Tie in marabou. Fibers should extend 1-1.5x hook lengths beyond bend.

  4. Trim flash so that it extends just beyond marabou tips.

  5. Tie in wire, chenille and hackle (tip first) at base of tail. Wrap thread forward.

  6. Wrap chenille forward. Secure with thread at back of bead. Trim excess.

  7. Using hackle pliers, palmer the hackle forward in evenly spaced wraps. Secure with thread. Trim excess.

  8. Counter wrap wire around shank. Secure with thread. Trim excess.

  9. Whip finish and apply super glue on the thread to complete.
