Tying instructions
Secure the hook in the vise.
Start thread one eye-length behind the hook eye and wrap back halfway down the shank to create a base.
Pull one strip of orange McFlyFoam from the bundle.
Tie in the McFlyFoam on top of the hook shank, allowing it to extend just past the hook eye.
Force the McFlyFoam down onto the hook with your fingers and take a couple of loose wraps, then tighten up.
Jump the thread forward.
Hold the McFlyFoam with a little tension and cut it even.
Manipulate the McFlyFoam around with your fingers to create a nice orange egg sack.
Pull out some filaments of Hareline Egg Veil Milky White.
Apply Loon Low Tack Swax to the thread.
Wrap the veil around the hook.
Form a nice veil over the egg.
Take out your whip finish tool and do a four or five turn whip finish.
Cut the thread.
Pull the veil material back up behind the hook.
Cut off the excess veil material.
Clean up any stray pieces of veil material wrapped around the hook point.
Apply a dab of Hareline Hard as Hull head cement.
