Tying instructions
Secure the hook in the vise.
Start the thread at the eye and wrap down to the start of the bend.
Tie in the oval tinsel at the start of the bend.
Wax the thread.
Pull out some hare's mask and some rabbit fur and mix with a small piece of sparkle yarn.
Dub a buggy body from the tie-in point to just behind the eye.
Wrap the oval tinsel forward in open spirals, about 5-6 wraps.
Tie off the tinsel and trim.
Brush out the body with a dubbing brush.
Select a brown partridge feather and remove the fluff from the base.
Tie in the partridge feather by the tip.
Wrap the partridge feather around the hook shank twice, stroking the fibers back.
Tie off the partridge feather and trim the excess.
Build a neat head with the thread.
Whip finish and apply head cement.
