Tying instructions
Place the hook in the vise.
Create a thread base extending to the bend of the hook.
Add 10-12 wraps of lead-free wire mid-shank for weight.
Secure the lead-free wraps with thread. Return thread to the bend.
Tie in chenille at the bend. Wrap thread forward to one eye-length behind the eye.
Wrap chenille forward and secure with thread. Trim excess.
Wrap thread back, dividing the chenille body into two segments.
Trim two lengths of rubber legs and secure with thread along the near side of the shank.
Repeat the previous step along the opposite side of the shank.
Pull legs back and secure. Wrap thread to the front of the chenille.
Secure a bunch of squirrel tail hair along the top of the shank.
Whip finish, apply super glue on the thread, and trim legs to desired length to complete.
