Tying instructions

  1. Slide a tungsten slotted bead onto the hook.

  2. Start thread behind the bead.

  3. Wrap thread down the shank to 3/4 of the shank length.

  4. Tie in Coq de Leon fibers for the tail, about one-shank length.

  5. Tie in Ultra Wire Brassie at the slot of the bead.

  6. Wrap the tying thread down the shank to the base of the tail.

  7. Wrap the tying thread back up the shank to just behind the bead, creating a smooth body.

  8. Wrap the wire forward with 4-5 spaced turns to just behind the bead.

  9. Secure the wire with the tying thread.

  10. Wiggle the wire back and forth to break it off.

  11. Apply a small amount of UV resin to the body, but not enough to coat the body completely.

  12. Cure the resin with a UV light.

  13. Dub a small amount of Ice Dub UV Pink behind the bead to create a hotspot.

  14. Take the thread through the hotspot to make it more durable.

  15. Whip finish behind the bead.

  16. Trim the thread.
