Tying instructions
Step 1: Place the hook in the vise.
Step 2: Start the thread at the eye and wrap back to the bend.
Step 3: Tie in a small bunch of olive marabou at the bend for the tail, approximately the length of the shank. Optionally you can braid strands of marabou.
Step 4: Tie in fine copper wire at the bend for ribbing.
Step 5: Create a dubbing noodle with olive dubbing on the thread.
Step 6: Wrap the dubbing noodle forward to form a tapered body, stopping at the 60% mark.
Step 7: Counter-wrap the copper wire forward over the body to the 60% mark and tie off with 3 tight wraps, then trim excess.
Step 8: Tie in a strip of olive thin skin at the 60% mark for the wingcase.
Step 9: Tie in mono eyes at the 70% mark using figure-eight wraps.
Step 10: Tie in a partridge feather by the tip at the 60% mark for legs, with fibers extending to the hook point.
Step 11: Pull the thin skin forward over the body and tie off behind the eyes, then trim excess.
Step 12: Form a small head with the thread, whip finish, and trim the thread.
Step 13: Apply head cement to the thread wraps for durability.
