Tying instructions

  1. Create a thread base extending to the bend of the hook.

  2. Tie in 6-12 strands of flash material extending from the bend.

  3. Create a small dubbing ball at the base of the tail.

  4. Cut a strip of foam approximately one hook gap in width.

  5. Secure the foam along the top of the shank using two loose wraps before tightening.

  6. Fold a rubber leg in half and secure along opposite sides of the shank.

  7. Apply adhesive to the thread wraps to prevent the fly from spinning.

  8. Pull the forward-facing indicator material toward the rear and secure with dubbing wraps.

  9. Lift the foam and dub the remaining shank.

  10. Secure the front of the foam approximately one eye length behind the eye.

  11. Tie in a second set of legs and indicator wing.

  12. Pull back the indicator material and secure with dubbing wraps.

  13. Whip finish and apply super glue on the thread.

  14. Trim the leg loops and shape the indicator material into a slightly curved wing.
