Tying instructions
Secure hook in vise and start thread at the eye.
Wrap thread down to the bend of the hook.
Tie in the stripped peacock quill at the bend of the hook.
Wrap the peacock quill forward in touching turns to create the body, ending near the eye.
Tie off the peacock quill and trim the excess.
Apply a drop of UV clear thin resin to the body, covering all the wraps.
Cure the resin with a UV light.
Tie in a short section of rootbeer crystal flash on top of the hook shank, dividing the strands so they splay out slightly.
Create a small head with 5-6 turns of whip finish.
Clip the thread close to the hook.
Trim the crystal flash wing buds to approximately half the body length.
Apply a small drop of head cement to the thread wraps at the head of the fly.
