Tying instructions
Attach Gamakatsu Octopus hook to 20 lb backing with a loop knot.
Secure the loop to the eye of the Tiemco 811S hook.
Start thread behind the cone and wrap to the hook point.
Tie in the rabbit strip, separating the fur, so the hide extends to the bend of the hook.
Fold the rabbit strip forward and secure with thread, creating a narrow band.

Whip finish and apply head cement.
Secure the Tiemco 811S hook in the vise.
Slide the cone onto the hook.
Start thread behind the cone and wrap partway down the hook bend.
Thread the tag ends of the backing through the cone.
Position the rabbit strip from the trailer hook to the back of the cone and secure with thread.
Fold the rabbit strip forward and secure with thread.
Whip finish and apply head cement.
Glue the eyes into the cone.
Tie in the guinea feather and wrap one turn, then tie off and trim the excess.
Fold the mallard flank feathers and tie in as pectoral fins, then trim the excess.
