Tying instructions
Slide a slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook. Secure in the vise.
Start white thread behind the bead and wrap to the bend.
Tie in 3-4 Coq de Leon fibers at the bend for a short, sparse tail.
Tie in a strand of pearl tinsel at the bend.
Wrap the tinsel forward in touching turns to behind the bead, building a smooth, tapered body. Tie off and trim.
Switch to fluorescent orange thread (or make a few wraps of orange thread) behind the bead for a hot spot collar.
Whip finish behind the bead.
Apply a thin, even coat of UV resin over the entire body for the classic perdigon glass-like finish.
Cure the UV resin with a UV light. Ensure a smooth, streamlined profile.
