Tying instructions

  1. Place the bead on the hook and secure the hook in the vise.

  2. Start the thread behind the bead.

  3. Double the thread over.

  4. Slowly wrap the thread down the hook shank to where the hook starts to curve.

  5. Put the doubled thread in the material clip.

  6. Take a small amount of dubbing, about the size of a fingernail, and thin it out.

  7. Place the dubbing on the thread.

  8. Wrap the dubbing up the hook shank, one wrap right in front of the other, to build a slight taper.

  9. Stop wrapping the dubbing right behind the bead.

  10. Take the dubbing loop tool and spin the thread to secure the dubbing as ribbing.

  11. Wrap the thread four times around the hook shank right behind the bead.

  12. Cut the thread.

  13. Add a small drop of super glue to the thread wraps behind the bead.

  14. Trim any guard hairs.
