Tying instructions
Start thread behind the hook eye and wrap to the front third of the shank.
Tie in 3 strands of white fluoro fiber just behind the hook eye, take a couple of turns back over them, and fold them forward.
Tie in two natural dun CDC feathers, tips separated, with a single turn.
Pull the CDC feathers down to about a shank length long.
Wrap thread back over the CDC feathers to create a smooth taper.
Tie in a stripped and dyed peacock quill with the dark edge facing the back of the hook.
Wrap the quill forward, slightly overlapping each turn, to create a ribbed body.
Tie off the quill at the base of the wing.
Build a small thread thorax.
Sweep the wing and fluoro fiber up and bring the thread to the front with a couple of turns.
Whip finish.
Trim the fluoro fiber slightly longer than the wing.
Coat the body with a thin layer of UV resin and cure slowly with a UV lamp.
