Tying instructions
Step 1: Place the 60-degree jig hook in the vise and slide the brass bead onto the hook.
Step 2: Add 4-6 turns of lead-free wire to the shank and slide it forward to the rear of the hook eye.
Step 3: Attach the 140 denier white thread to the shank behind the bead and wrap forward creating a thick thread base over the lead-free wraps.
Step 4: Wrap the thread backwards to the bend of the hook completing the thread base.
Step 5: Cut a tuft of rabbit fur from a zonker strip and tie it in at the bend of the hook as the tail, ensuring it is approximately the length of the hook shank.
Step 6: Create a dubbed body with pearl Ice Dub, wrapping forward to the bead. Brush out to free some fibers from the body.
Step 7: Tie in a bunch of Senyo's Laser Dub along the top of the shank behind the bead. The Laser Dub should be tied in at the mid-point.
Step 8: Part the forward-facing Laser Dub fibers and pull them back along the underside of the shank. Secure with thread.
Step 9: Add a 3D adhesive eye to each side of the shank immediately behind the bead.
Step 10: Secure the eyes with UV resin.
Step 11: Whip finish and apply UV resin to complete the head. Brush out the Laser Dub to create the desired taper.
