Tying instructions

  1. Attach 6mm tail shank to vise.

  2. Layer 3 clumps of Ice Dub of same size. When tied on, dubbing should show translucent, not solid.

  3. Attach dubbing in reverse, wrap up and down shank.

  4. Measure shank with scissors. Measure from tip of shank to tip of dubbing - remove all but 1.5 length of the shank.

  5. Pick 3 strands of Flashabou, attach tip to shank and then wrap flash around the shank to create the body. Tie off.

  6. Pull dubbing back over the shank, wrap and tie off.

  7. Repeat steps for next following shanks: 6mm, 6mm, 8mm, 8mm.

  8. Remove tail. Attach hook to vise.

  9. Attach tungsten to hook.

  10. Attach a loop around the tail and tie onto hook.

  11. Fold loop ends over the tungsten to form a head shape. Wrap thread to even out the head and fill in gaps. Tie and apply glue to secure.

  12. Layer 3 pieces of stomach dubbing onto the bottom of the hook towards tail.

  13. Ensure dubbing is long enough to cover the body of the hook but still show the articulation on the tail.

  14. Cut off excess and attach in the opposite direction of the tail. Secure with a few wraps.

  15. Repeat with dubbing for the top of the head. Tie off and use UV resin to secure.

  16. Fold dubbing back over the tail and brush through with Velcro.

  17. Do final shape trim from tip of tail to head.

  18. Catch fish.
