Tying instructions

  1. Secure hook in vise and start thread at the eye.

  2. Tie in small black lead eyes a little more than an eye-length behind the eye of the hook using crossing wraps.

  3. Apply super glue to the thread wraps securing the eyes.

  4. Use a quill from a pheasant tail to spread the super glue around the thread wraps.

  5. Apply a few more thread wraps to lock the eyes in place.

  6. Measure out a clump of white craft fur to be two hook-lengths in length beyond the base of the hook.

  7. Square up the butts of the craft fur and tie it in right up against the back end of the lead eyes.

  8. Measure out some grape purple mono eyes and tie them in.

  9. Readjust the eyes to be in the correct position.

  10. Cut out the mono eyes.

  11. Apply super glue to the thread wraps securing the mono eyes.

  12. Create a dubbing loop.

  13. Place some Kraken Enhanced Hot White Dubbing in the dubbing loop.

  14. Spin up the dubbing.

  15. Brush out the dubbing.

  16. Wrap the dubbing around the hook shank.

  17. Pull up the fibers and do tight touching wraps, preening the fibers back as you go.

  18. Catch the thread and hold the dubbing loop with your right hand and use your left hand to pull the thread over the top a couple of times and pull tight.

  19. Grab your scissors and cut out the tailing end of the dubbing loop.

  20. Pull all the fibers back and do a whip finish.

  21. Trim off the thread.

  22. Apply UV resin to the head and cure with a UV light.
