Tying instructions
Create a thread base extending to the bend of the hook. Trim the thread tag.
Using a ruler, measure a 1-inch segment along your foam cylinder.
Cut the foam at the 1-inch mark with a razor blade.
Punch a hole through the center of the foam cylinder with a bodkin.
Wrap the foam cylinder in marine reflective tape.
Tie in a bundle of bucktail at the end of the hook, creating a tail.
Tie in ice chenille at the base of the tail.
Slide the foam cylinder over the eye of the hook and onto the shank.
Wrap thread forward to the rear of the foam.
Remove foam temporarily. Then wrap ice chenille forward. Secure with thread and trim excess.
Whip finish and trim thread. Apply super glue on the thread to the thread wraps.
Apply stick-on eyes to each side of the foam cylinder. Slide foam onto the hook shank to complete.
