Tying instructions
Secure the hook in the vise.
Start the thread at one eye-width behind the eye and wrap rearward to the bend.
Tie in a small length of red wire at the bend.
Select a turkey biot and tie it in at the bend with the notch facing upward.
Wrap the biot forward in touching turns to form a smooth body, stopping at the 60% mark. Tie off and trim excess.
Counter-wrap the red wire forward in evenly spaced turns over the biot body. Tie off and trim.
Dub a small amount of Euro Nymph Flash Dub onto the thread to form a dubbing noodle.
Wrap the dubbing noodle forward to create a thorax, stopping one eye-width behind the eye.
Prepare a partridge feather by stripping the fluff and tie it in by the tip at the front of the thorax.
Wrap the partridge hackle forward 2-3 turns, sweeping fibers rearward. Tie off and trim excess.
Build a small, neat thread head.
Whip finish, trim the thread, and apply head cement.
