Tying instructions

  1. Secure the streamer hook in the vise.

  2. Start the thread at the eye and create a thread base extending the length of the shank.

  3. Trim a clump of white craft fur (2-4 times the shank length) and remove the undercoat. Tie in at the bend.

  4. Tie in 6-12 strands of flashabou above the tail, approximately equal to the tail length.

  5. Wrap the thread forward to the middle of the shank and tie in a clump of white craft fur with the butt ends extending back.

  6. Push the fibers back, spreading them equally around the shank.

  7. Holding the craft fur with your left hand, pull the thread forward and wrap immediately ahead of the fur.

  8. Tie in 6-12 strands of flashabou in front of the craft fur, spreading them equally across the top of the craft fur body.

  9. Wrap the thread forward to the rear of the eye and repeat the previous step with a clump of olive craft fur.

  10. Pull the olive craft fur back and repeat the process of spreading and securing.

  11. Apply a loose clump of olive Ice Dub in front of the craft fur and secure with loose wraps of thread.

  12. Whip finish and apply Flex Seal to complete the fly.
