Tying instructions

  1. Create a small thread base at the midway point along the shank.

  2. Tie in a bunch of SF Blend Fiber (2-4x shank length) along the top of the shank.

  3. Tie in 10-20 strands of Flashabou on top of SF Blend. Flash should extend just beyond SF Blend Fibers.

  4. Grasp material in your left hand and pull tight. Apply Zap-a-Gap or similar adhesive to base of tail.

  5. Allow adhesive to set before continuing.

  6. Tie in a bunch of SF Blend Fibers along the top of the hook shank.

  7. Rotate vise and tie in a similar sized bunch of SF Blend along the bottom of the shank.

  8. Rotate vise back and wrap thread to rear of eye.

  9. Pull forward facing fibers back and secure.

  10. Whip finish and apply flex seal to form head.

  11. Trim to desired profile, ensuring sides are even to prevent spinning.

  12. Apply eyes with adhesive to complete. Use UV resin to better secure eyes.
