Tying instructions
Secure the Ahrex Texas Predator 1/0 hook in the vise with the hook point down.
Start the VEEVUS 100 Denier GSP thread in the middle of the hook shank with several tight wraps.
Tie in a sparse clump of EP Fibers Game Changer Blend, White, at the bend using pinch wraps, ensuring the fibers extend one shank-length beyond the bend.
Tie in 4-6 strands of Hedron Flashabou Accent Flash, Crystal Hackle and Opal, at the bend, positioning them slightly shorter than the tail.
Position a clump of Gray Craft Fur on top of the shank at the 2/3 point, ensuring it covers the flash and tail base.
Secure the Gray Craft Fur with 3-4 firm wraps, allowing the fibers to extend slightly beyond the tail.
Tie in a clump of White Craft Fur on the bottom of the shank at the 2/3 point, matching the length of the Gray Craft Fur.
Secure the White Craft Fur with 3-4 firm wraps, ensuring it blends with the Gray Craft Fur.
Reverse the Craft Fur back towards the hook bend, creating a smooth, bullet-shaped head, and secure with several tight wraps behind the hook eye.
Trim excess Craft Fur close to the wraps to maintain a neat head shape.
Apply Deer Creek Fine Flex UV Resin to the head, ensuring it soaks into the core of the Craft Fur.
Cure the resin thoroughly with a UV light, rotating the fly to ensure even curing.
Attach Deer Creek 8mm Eyes in Volcano color to each side of the head using a small drop of UV Resin.
Cure the eyes with a UV light, ensuring they are securely attached.
Use a black Sharpie to create a shad spot on the side of the fly, just behind the eyes.
Apply a red Sharpie to draw a gill line starting from the eye and extending towards the hook bend.
