Tying instructions

  1. Slide the 2.4mm copper tungsten bead onto the Swimming Larva Hook and secure the hook in the vise.

  2. Start the red thread behind the bead and create a smooth thread base extending to the bend of the hook.

  3. Tie in a length of small pearl tinsel at the bend of the hook.

  4. Wrap the thread forward to the rear of the bead, creating an even underbody.

  5. Wrap the pearl tinsel forward in evenly spaced turns to form ribbing, securing it behind the bead.

  6. Trim any excess tinsel.

  7. Whip finish the thread behind the bead and trim the thread.

  8. Apply a thin, even coat of UV resin over the thread and tinsel body to complete the fly.
