Tying instructions
Secure the hook in the vise.
Slide the bead onto the hook.
Start the thread behind the bead and wrap back to the bend.
Tie in the CDL tail fibers. Use fewer fibers for a better result.
Trim the excess tail material.
Tie in the hot orange wire for ribbing.
Tie in the holographic tinsel for the body.
Wrap the holographic tinsel forward to create a thin, tapered body. Keep tension on the tinsel as you wrap.
Tie off the tinsel behind the bead and trim the excess.
Counter-wrap the hot orange wire forward to rib the body.
Tie off the wire behind the bead and helicopter the excess to break it off.
Dub the thorax with dark brown squirrel SLF spikey dubbing.
Whip finish behind the bead.
Apply a thin coat of UV resin to the body, avoiding the thorax.
Cure the UV resin with a UV light.
Trim the excess fibers.
