Tying instructions
Secure the streamer hook in the vise.
Wrap lead wire around the shank, leaving space at both ends. Secure with thread and build a thread base over the wire.
Start the thread at the hook eye and wrap rearward to the bend.
Tie in a clump of Laser Dub at the bend, extending one hook shank length beyond the hook.
Dub a tapered body using Ice Dub from the bend to the 60% mark.
Select a Mallard Flank feather and tie it in by the tip at the 60% mark, wrapping it forward in touching turns to form a collar. Tie off and trim excess.
Create a dubbing loop with Ice Dub and wrap forward to form a full, bushy head. Tie off and trim excess.
Build a neat thread head, whip finish, and trim thread.
Apply a thin coat of UV resin over the head and cure.
