Tying instructions

  1. Secure hook in vise.

  2. Start thread at the eye and wrap to the back.

  3. Tie in chartreuse bucktail at the back, with the tail extending two times the shank length.

  4. Leave the butts of the bucktail long to build up the underbody.

  5. Tie in crystal flash on top of the bucktail and trim to length.

  6. Tie in black marabou tail on top of the flash, using one feather.

  7. Tie in ice chenille or estaz at the back.

  8. Wrap the body material a quarter to a third of the way up the shank.

  9. Tie off the body material.

  10. Tie in the first foam disc by the very edge, trying not to cut the foam.

  11. Tie in a set of rubber legs.

  12. Repeat the process of adding body material, foam disc, and rubber legs until you've tied on all four foam discs, leaving out the last set of rubber legs.

  13. Whip finish.

  14. Add super glue to the head.

  15. Add super glue in between the foam discs.
