Tying instructions

  1. Attach hook to vise.

  2. Lay down a smooth thread base from the front of the hook back to the bend.

  3. Wrap thread smoothly back up to the 1/4 to 1/3 mark.

  4. Wrap a small bump of thread at the 1/4 to 1/3 mark.

  5. Tie in bead chain eyes at the bump.

  6. Secure bead chain eyes with a few wraps, then do some circles to lock the thread in place.

  7. Wrap thread back down the body, real nice and smooth.

  8. Tie in Crystal Flash for the tail, fold it over a couple times to create four strands.

  9. Cut the Crystal Flash to slightly longer than the hook.

  10. Tie in Prismatic Holographic Thread just behind the eyes, over one eye on this side of the shank, and then over the other eye on the other side of the shank.

  11. Wrap thread back down the body.

  12. Tie in a small bunch of white marabou just in front of the eyes.

  13. Wrap thread back behind the eyes to secure the marabou.

  14. Pinch the marabou right about where the bend of the hook is with your fingers, real tight and hard.

  15. Pinch the marabou with your other hand to break and tear it off.

  16. Tie in a sparse bunch of gray bucktail on top of the hook shank, just behind the eyes, with loose wraps.

  17. Bring thread to the front and secure with tighter wraps.

  18. Whip finish and add head cement.
