Tying instructions
Start thread behind the eye and wrap to the bend.
Tie in the stripped peacock quill at the bend, with the darker color facing you (down).
Apply a tiny drop of super glue to the thread wraps.
Wrap the peacock quill forward to create the body, using gentle wraps to avoid breaking the quill.
Tie off the peacock quill behind the eye and trim the excess.
Tie in the crystal flash behind the eye.
Wrap the crystal flash forward one turn, then wrap it on top of itself to create a band.
Tie off the crystal flash behind the eye and trim the excess.
Color the thread black with a marker.
Build up a small, bulbous head with the black thread.
Whip finish behind the eye and trim the thread.
Apply a thin coat of Solarez Fly-Tie Resin to the body, working it around with a bodkin.
Rotate the fly to allow the resin to evenly coat the body.
Cure the resin with a UV light.
