Tying instructions
Slide the copper inverting tungsten bead onto the hook, small hole first.
Apply a thin layer of super glue to the hook shank.
Flip the hook upside down to allow the bead to sit securely against the hook eye.
Start the black thread behind the bead with several tight wraps to secure.
Tie in a sparse clump of light speckled Coq de Leon fibers at the bend using pinch wraps, with fibers extending one hook-shank length beyond the bend.
Tie in a single strand of pearl micro flashabou at the bend, securing it with 2-3 wraps.
Wrap the thread back to the base of the tail, ensuring the flashabou is secured along the top of the shank.
Select a golden olive polish quill and tie it in on the near side of the hook, at the base of the tail.
Wrap the quill forward in tight, slightly overlapping turns to form the body, stopping just behind the bead.
Secure the quill with 2-3 wraps of thread behind the bead and trim the excess quill.
Tie off the flashabou behind the bead, ensuring it lies flat on top of the quill body, and trim the excess.
Apply a small amount of black nail polish to the top of the fly behind the bead to create the wingcase.
Apply a thin coat of Solar Rez Bone Dry to the entire fly for durability.
Cure the fly with a UV light until the resin is fully hardened.
