Tying instructions
Place a 2.3mm silver bead onto the hook.
Start thread behind the bead and wrap to the bend of the hook, but not onto the curved portion.
Tie in 3-4 Coq de Leon fibers for the tail, approximately one hook-shank length.
Tie in small silver wire on the far side of the hook with a couple of loose wraps.
Pull the wire back under the thread wraps.
Tie in Semperfli Perdigon Body (Iridescent Purple) at the same tie-in point as the tail.
Wrap thread forward to the bead.
Turn the bead so the slot is facing down.
Switch to fluorescent orange thread.
Make 3-4 wraps of orange thread behind the bead to create a hotspot.
Wrap the Semperfli Perdigon Body forward in 3-4 non-touching turns.
Tie off the Semperfli Perdigon Body behind the bead.
Wrap the silver wire forward in the gaps between the Semperfli Perdigon Body wraps.
Tie off the silver wire behind the bead.
Whip finish behind the bead.
Trim the thread close to the hook shank.
Apply a small amount of black nail polish to the top of the bead to create a wingcase.
Apply a thin coat of Solarez Bone Dry resin over the body and wingcase.
Cure the resin with a UV light.
