Tying instructions
Place the tungsten bead on the hook and secure the hook in the vise.
Create a thread base extending to the bend of the hook.
Tie in a single rubber leg along the top of the shank, leaving about 1 inch extending beyond the bend.
Pull back the excess rubber leg and tie it in at the bend of the hook.
Spread the rubber legs slightly and trim them to about 1-2 hook gaps in length.
Tie in the chenille at the base of the tail and wrap the thread to the front of the hook shank.
Wrap the chenille forward to the front of the hook and secure it with thread.
Tie in the black hen hackle at the front of the hook.
Wrap the hackle, pulling fibers back with each wrap, and secure with thread.
Trim excess hackle fibers.
Build a thread head, whip finish, and apply flex seal to complete.
