Tying instructions
Place the hook in the vise.
Start the thread at the eye and create a thread base extending to the bend.
Select a small bunch of Brown Bucktail, stack to even tips, and tie in with tips extending 1/2 to 1 hook length beyond the bend.
Tie in a bundle of White Z-Lon or Calf Body Hair ~1/4 shank length behind the eye, with tips facing forward.
Divide the wing material and post each wing with thread wraps.
Dub the body with Superfine Dubbing, creating a tapered abdomen extending to just behind the wing post.
Tie in Brown Dry Fly Hackle behind the wings.
Wrap the hackle forward, making several turns behind and in front of the wings.
Secure the hackle with thread and trim excess.
Whip finish and apply super glue to the thread wraps.
