Tying instructions
Secure the wet fly hook in the vise and slide on a small black brass bead.
Start the olive thread behind the bead and wrap rearward to the bend.
Tie in a length of brown crystal chenille at the bend.
Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns to form the body, stopping one eye-width behind the bead. Tie off and trim excess.
Dub a small amount of green antron dubbing onto the thread to form a dubbing noodle.
Wrap the dubbing noodle forward to create a small head behind the bead.
Select a few brown hen hackle fibers and tie them in as legs on either side of the head. Tie off with 3 tight wraps and trim excess.
Whip finish, trim thread, and apply head cement.
