Tying instructions

  1. Secure the front streamer hook in the vise, start the thread behind the eye and lay a smooth thread base on the shank.

  2. Glue the lead-wire keel weight onto the hook shank, cover it with thread wraps and set the hook aside so the glue can begin to set.

  3. Place the tail shank or rear hook in the vise, start the thread and build a clean thread base.

  4. Tie in a sparse marabou tail, keeping the fibers centered and in line with the shank.

  5. Add 2 to 4 strands of pearl Flashabou along each side of the tail.

  6. Tie in Game Changer Chenille or Body Wrap at the rear of the first body section.

  7. Wrap the body material forward, sweeping fibers back on each turn, then tie off, whip finish and glue the thread wraps.

  8. Connect the next articulated shank to the finished rear section, making sure the joint moves freely.

  9. Repeat the wrapped body section on each shank, making each segment slightly fuller as you move toward the front.

  10. Return to the weighted front hook after the glue has set and secure the final articulated section to the hook.

  11. Build the hook section with the fullest body profile, leaving enough bare shank behind the eye for the head.

  12. Trim the body to a smooth baitfish taper, then add Living Eyes or stick-on eyes and secure them with UV resin.

  13. Flex every joint and check the fly from above and below to confirm straight tracking and free articulation.
